What you give: your names and email address, and if you fill them in, the date of the wedding, the venue and your message.
Why: so that I can reply and make you an offer. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
How long: if we do not end up working together, I delete it after 12 months. The deletion is automatic, not manual.
What you give: your names and phone numbers, the date, the number of guests, your other suppliers (celebrant, videographer, music), the timeline of the day with venues, the moments that matter most to you, and anything else you write down.
Why: so that I can prepare for photographing your day. The legal basis is performance of our contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
How long: I delete it 24 months after you submit it — that covers the whole of our work together, from booking to after the wedding. The deletion is automatic.
If you enter other people’s details in the planner (the celebrant’s, videographer’s or musician’s name), I use them solely so that we can work together on the day. If any of them would like to know what I hold about them, they are welcome to write to me.
While you fill it in, your browser saves a draft on your own device (localStorage) — it never reaches me, and clearing your browser data removes it.
The wedding photographs on this site show real couples and their guests. I use these images in my portfolio, on my social media pages and in other promotional material.
The legal basis is the consent given in the photography contract: every couple explicitly agrees, when signing the contract, that the images made at their wedding may be used for this purpose (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and Art. 73 of the Romanian Civil Code on the right to one’s own image).
That consent can be withdrawn at any time, and you may also ask me to take down individual photographs — an email to foto@klweddings.com is enough. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier use, and I clearly cannot reach copies already printed or downloaded by others. I remove the photograph from this site as soon as I can.
The photographs also show the guests at the wedding. For them the basis for use is my legitimate interest in showing my work (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), given that the photographs were made at a public celebration and involve no special-category data.
If you appear as a guest in a photograph and would rather not, you may object at any time — an email to foto@klweddings.com is enough and I will take it down, no questions asked.
With every submission I store a one-way fingerprint of your IP address (SHA-256, truncated). Its only purpose is to stop a bot from submitting the form in bulk. I do not store raw IP addresses.
The server also keeps ordinary operational logs (request time, errors), which the hosting provider retains for a short period.
Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — hosting the website, the database, producing the PDF from the planner, and the aggregate traffic measurement.
Resend (USA) — delivering the email generated from your submission.
Microsoft and Google — my mailboxes, where the messages arrive. This is the same as writing to me directly: the message passes through their servers and stays there for as long as I keep it in my mailbox.
Cloudflare and Resend act as processors and do not use your data for their own purposes. Transfers to the United States rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses. I do not sell your data and do not pass it to advertisers.
This site uses no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, Facebook pixel or anything similar, and you are not followed from site to site.
One measurement script does run: Cloudflare Web Analytics. It works without cookies, gives your device no identifier, and cannot recognise you on other sites. All it sees is that someone opened a page, from which country, with which browser, where they came from and how long the page took to load — all of it aggregated and not linked to a person. I measure it so I can see whether the site reaches you and whether anything on it has broken; the legal basis is that legitimate interest of mine (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because it stores nothing on your device and does not identify you, I do not ask for separate consent.
The fonts are served from my own server. The measurement script above is the only thing that loads from an external address — from Cloudflare — when the page opens.
Your browser does keep two small things on your own device: a note that the opening animation has already run (it goes when you close the tab) and, in the planner, your draft. Neither reaches me and neither can identify you — which is why I do not ask for separate consent for them.
You may request access to your data, its correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You may also object to the processing.

If you believe I have not handled this properly, you may complain to the Romanian authority: ANSPDCP, B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28–30, Bucharest, dataprotection.ro.
Giving me your details is not obligatory — I only ask for what I need to make you an offer and to prepare for photographing your day. If you leave something out, the only consequence is that I cannot give you an exact quote. I use no automated decision-making and no profiling.
